Noah Stengl
Hello!
And welcome to my website. I'm a lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I received my Ph.D. in 2024. My current research traces conceptualizations of land in nineteenth-century America and how these configure the politics of sovereignty, freedom, and nationhood. More generally, my research and teaching interests are in environmental political theory, Indigenous political thought, and American political thought.

I am also a passionate teacher and mentor of undergraduates who is always trying to learn more about the science and art of postsecondary education.
